What a fabulous North Island Weekend! Visit us in Sointula and spend a day in Alert Bay at ARTFEST.

It is easy to get to Alert Bay from Sointula. You can catch the 11 am ferry or the 1:40 ferry from Sointula. You will get a scenic tour of Broughton Strait while you cruise on the ferry to Port McNeill and then on to Cormorant Island. If you take your car you just tell the person at the ferry that you are going to Alert Bay. You get off in Port McNeill and then get right back on to go to Alert Bay. The same thing happens on the way home. But you can easily walk on the ferry and see most of Alert Bay without a vehicle.
The best thing of all is that it is a FREE cruise even if you take your car!!
To come home to Sointula you would catch the 5:55 ferry for the long way around or the 8:25 for a trip straight back to Sointula. Again- it’s free! You can often see whales and porpoises on your trip and the salmon are jumping everywhere.
