It is so lovely being able to go for a quick paddle without having to load the boats on the car and drive to the beach. Sometimes we go to Bere Point and paddle but sometimes we just go out to the back yard and have a quick trip.

Blood Water: BC’s Dirty Salmon Farming Secret
Investigative dives at farmed salmon processing plants near Campbell River and Tofino B.C. Canada have revealed that raw, infected effluent is being released into critical wild salmon migration corridors.
This untreated blood water is infected with Piscine Reovirus, a highly infectious virus which causes HSMI (Heart and Skeletal Muscle Inflammation), a deadly disease for wild salmon.
A third of BC’s salmon migrate past these two processing plants.
If we want wild salmon to survive on our coast, this dirty industry must transition to land.
